Customer Reviews
Vail Retreat Summit Tent Experience
I recently stayed in a Summit Tent at the Vail Retreat for three nights. The booking process online was straightforward, and I received a confirmation email immediately. Before my arrival, I called customer support with a question about local transportation, and they were very knowledgeable and polite. Check-in at the site was smooth, and the staff walked us through all the tent's features. The tent itself was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a private en-suite bathroom which was a huge plus. We opted for the In-Tent Breakfast one morning, and it arrived promptly and was delicious. The only minor critique was that the heater in the tent took a while to warm up fully on the first chilly evening. Overall, a well-managed operation providing a unique and comfortable outdoor experience.
Consistent quality, keep coming back
This was my third time staying with Collective Retreats, previously at Hill Country and Yellowstone, and this time I tried the Sonoma Retreat. I booked a Honeymoon Suite. The consistency is what keeps me coming back; you know what you're getting. The booking was easy, just like before, and the staff at Sonoma were as friendly and efficient as I remember from my other stays. The suite was clean and well-appointed, just like the others I'd experienced. They really maintain a high standard across their locations. I appreciate that reliability.
Good stay, some minor issues
I booked a Summit Tent at the Vail Retreat for a quick weekend getaway. The tent itself was really comfortable, and the views were amazing. It definitely felt luxurious for glamping. However, checking in took a bit longer than I expected, maybe 20 minutes, and the Wi-Fi signal was a bit spotty inside the tent. Customer service was helpful when I called about the Wi-Fi, but it never fully resolved. Overall, good value for the experience, but could improve on those small things.
Chill time at Governors Island
Went to the Governor's Island Retreat with my partner for a couple nights. It was super easy to get there, and the tent we had (think it was a Journey Tent) was really nice. The bed was comfy, and it felt way better than regular camping. We did one of those S'mores Kits one night, which was fun. Pretty good overall experience.

if i sign up for their newsletter, do you actually get a discount? or is it just spam?
What's the deal with electricity in the tents? Can I charge my phone and stuff or is it totally off-grid?
Hey, thinking about booking a weekend at Vail. Are dogs allowed? My little terrier is part of the family and I'd hate to leave her behind.
Heard about a hero discount for first responders, does Collective Retreats actually offer that?
Is Collective Retreats better than Under Canvas? Trying to decide between them for a Yellowstone trip.
